Nursery School of the Nyacks at Creative Arts Workshop

Summer Afternoons for Ages 3-4

The Creative Arts Workshop (CAW) is thrilled to partner with the Nursery School of the Nyacks (NSN) to offer Afternoon Arts, an engaging and enriching program for children ages 3-4. Designed to foster play-based learning and social-emotional development, this program features arts-focused activities in a nurturing environment.

 

Children enrolled in NSN’s morning program will be walked over to CAW facilities to seamlessly transition into Afternoon Arts from 12:00pm-3:00pm.

 

Daily Schedule:

  1. Open Play & Arts: A welcoming start with creative and exploratory activities.

  2. Opening Circle: Setting intentions and engaging with peers.

  3. Snack Time: A chance to refuel and connect.

  4. Daily Story Nook: Fostering a love for reading and imagination.

  5. Simple Projects: Hands-on arts activities that encourage creativity and skill-building.

  6. Closing Play & Circle Time: Reflecting on the day and preparing for pick-up.

 

Focus Areas:

  • Play-based learning to support natural curiosity and engagement.

  • Social-emotional development to nurture cooperation, empathy, and confidence.

  • Creative arts activities to inspire self-expression and cognitive growth.
