Service Description

The Sweets and Treats of Nyack & Chocolate Bar Making Agenda: Meet at the corner of Piermont Avenue and Main street in downtown Nyack Cost: $30.00 per guest*. 10 guest minimum 50 guest max (or two groups of 20/25 that alternate agendas) This workshop will last 1.5 hours *This does not include adult chaperones/guests. *Adults who wish to eat are charged at same rate *Most allergies can be accommodated by request Activity: Landmark One: We will visit the historic Vanilla Factory in downtown Nyack. Here we will learn about one of the main entry points for guests to visit and leave Nyack. And the local history of the vanilla factory. Landmark Two: Our first sample will be a small locally made hot chocolate which also provides digestive aide, promotes positive brain function, and produces healthy blood cells. Landmark Three: Onward to our final stop to taste locally baked goods and see local artists work as well. Here the guests will sample two types of baked goods. Finally we will visit Creative Arts Workshop studios for chocolate bark making. Participants will taste several ingredients, which can be used to create their own bar. Ingredients have included rice krispies, honey grahams, m and m’s, pretzels, lavender, caramel, and gummies. Participants will then design and set their own chocolate bark to take home. Ending the tour: We are able to end at Creative Arts Workshop at 171 Main Street, Nyack NY 10960 Public parking is available on the street and in a public lot across the street. Please notes meters are in effect until 7pm.
